This is a large work, almost as big as me, and addresses the memory of a special occasion. I think most women can associate a particular dress with a turning point in their lives, and that's when the lyrics for a good old fashioned country western song start germination. Read into that what you will, as it could go many places! This painting will be on display at the 7th Annual Cedars Open Studio Tour next Saturday, Nov 21, 10-6. If you are in Dallas, come start the tour at Studio Art and Soul, 1505 Beaumont, Dallas 75215. Lots of talented working artists will have their work on display! Use the button below to purchase this painting. No need to frame as canvas is gallery wrapped and finished. $3000, free shipping to USA. To see more of my paintings, please visit my BLOG. Thanks for looking.

Celebration by Kay Wyne
Celebration
Oil on 36" x 36" Gallery Wrap Canvas
This abstract started out as a painting with a horizon, but ended up being a Celebration painting. It took me a several weeks to complete this, because the canvas is so large, and I layered the paint, it took a long time to cover the canvas. I used brushes and knives on this canvas. You can see flecks of paint that appear to be confetti in this painting. The vivid colors are playful and fun. If you are interested in this painting, or any of my other works of art, please contact me. Thanks for viewing this blog!
